What do you know about WORDLE? How can you use it for teaching? According to www.wordle.net,  wordle is a toy for generating 'word clouds' from text that yo provide.  The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

From the description above, you can use wordle as a motivating strategy or review your lesson. For example, to start teaching vocabulary of personality traits, you can list down the words on wordle. Use some vocabulary that relate to positive or negative traits. Ask students to list down the vocab according to the category.

Below is the example of wordle or cloud word that you can use to start a lesson about personality traits or physical appearance. For your information, to make this word cloud, you can access both www.wordle.net or www.tagul.com. If you have android as your device, you can download ilanguangecloud in Play store, and it’s free. The minus is yo
u cannot modify the font, the shape, or the color if you use the application in your device.

Happy teaching J
